Methacrylate reactive resin technology is quite different from other commonly-used resin technologies on the market today. As part of the acrylics family, methacrylates share the same chemistry used to create everyday products, including Plexiglas®, house paints, eyeglass lenses, bullet-proof glass and dental and medical materials. Methacrylate reactive resins are based on acrylic and methacrylic acid ester. As a result of this chemistry, methacrylate materials exhibit extremely fast and efficient curing mechanisms.

Cured methacrylate reactive resins are resistant to a wide spectrum of chemicals and exhibit superb UV stability. These resins are 100% reactive and solvent-free. Methacrylate chemistry, when used in the design of resinous flooring systems, can meet a wide variety of technical design criteria, including aesthetics, durability, ease of maintenance, versatility and reduced life cycle costs.

Sikafloor® MMA SystemsSikafloor® Pronto MMA Roll-On SystemsIn light industrial/manufacturing areas where dust control and ease of cleaning are essential, Sikafloor Pronto MMA Roll-On systems perform brilliantly. Offered in an array of pigmented options, these systems resurface and revitalize damaged and/or exposed concrete surfaces. Sikafloor® Pronto MMA CQ (Color Quartz) SystemsSelf-leveling color quartz overlay. Finished with color quartz aggregates that are broadcast into the flooring system during installation. Color quartz systems are ideal for areas where heavy concrete damage has occurred or where thermal shock conditions exist, such as cage wash areas and food processing facilities. Sikafloor® Pronto MMA Flake SystemsSelf-leveling flake overlay. Finished with decorative flakes that are broadcast into the flooring system during installation. The flakes are integrated into the system and become part of the finished floor. Ideal in retail environments or other areas where cleanliness and aesthetics are essential. MMA Flake systems are available in an unlimited number of color combinations. Sikafloor® MMA PrimerSikafloor® 13 Pronto Low Viscosity Primer (Formerly MMA PR 01) A reactive, acrylic resin based on
methyl methacrylate (MMA). Its low viscosity and excellent Sikafloor® 301 Urethane Primer Additive (Formerly MMA CBA) A urethane based additive. It is
designed only to be used with Sikafloor 13 Pronto MMA Primer. When this primer additive is
added to Sikafloor 13 Pronto it will greatly increase the
ability of the primer to bond to concrete that contains
elevated moisture composition or other contaminants that Sikafloor® MMA CoatingsSikafloor® 22 Pronto Medium Viscosity Base Resin (Formerly MMA SL 02) A reactive, acrylic resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA). Sikafloor 22 Pronto applied as a self-leveling or broadcast system. Its excellent strength, superb resiliency and medium viscosity allows for effective protection of concrete substrates. This system can be broadcast with Sikafloor MMA CQ (color quartz) aggregates or MMA Flake to create a wide range of design effects. Sikafloor 22 Pronto should only be applied to properly prepared concrete primed with Sikafloor 13 Pronto MMA Primer. Sikafloor® 24 Pronto Medium Viscosity Coating Resin (Formerly MMA BC 02) A reactive, acrylic resin based on
methyl methacrylate (MMA). This coating must be applied on Sikafloor® 25 Pronto Topcoat Resin (Formerly MMA TC 03) A reactive, acrylic resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA). Sikafloor 25 Pronto is designed to be used as the top coat of a Sikafloor Pronto MMA flooring system. Sikafloor 25 Pronto has proven to provide protection from mechanical, thermal, chemical and UV exposure. This sealer can be applied as either a clear or pigmented top coat. Sikafloor 25 Pronto includes a dye that prevents discoloration that can take away from the aesthetic qualities of light colored flake and quartz floors. Sikafloor® MMA Ancillary ProductsSikafloor® 26 Pronto Cove Base Paste (Formerly MMA CV Paste) A reactive, acrylic resin based on
methyl methacrylate (MMA). For applications that require an Sikafloor® 28 Pronto Medium Viscosity Flexible Resin (Formerly MMA J&C) A reactive, acrylic resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA). Sikafloor 28 Pronto is designed to fill cracks and joints in concrete substrates. This product showcases high elasticity and superb strength that is needed for the filling of cracks, expansion and control joints where movement is anticipated. This fast-curing product may be applied neat or with pigment and a thixotrope and may only be applied over properly prepared substrate primed with Sikafloor 13 Pronto MMA Primer.
