Valspar Flooring unveils new brand identity

MARCH, 2007 — Valspar Flooring, a division of Valspar Corporation (NYSE: VAL), today unveiled a new brand identity that represents an important milestone in the company’s evolution from supplier of spar varnish for sailors in the early 1800s to becoming one the world’s largest manufacturers of paints and coatings.

(tm) The re-designed Valspar logo and a new tagline “If it matters, we’re on it.®” unifies a standard across the company’s many divisions to better communicate a promise of quality, durability and integrity. In addition to product packaging, the new graphics will be highlighted in print- and web-based marketing communications, tradeshow exhibits and all other marketing vehicles to increase recognition of Valspar’s unique contribution to the industry and to grow the value of the brand in the marketplace.
